Our goal is to lead children toward knowing and accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This we achieve using the following techniques:
- Formal Instruction: Through our various classes and group sessions. - Informal Instruction: Via summer programs, group projects and various activities. - Service Opportunities: Visiting and rendering volunteer services within the community (e.g. nursing homes, respite homes, etc). - Adult Christian Examples: Children learn by observation, and we use this by allowing them to observe how adults interact with children, other adults, and how they relate to God. - Service and Support for the Parents: We offer children weekly Christian instructions, so parents are free to participate fully in the adult worship service.
To effectively minister to the needs of the children attending our services, our children’s ministry is divided into the following groups:
- 3 years and below: Baby Blossom - 4-5 years: Blossom - Elementary (Grades 1 – 3): Olive 1 - Elementary (Grades 4 – 6): Olive 2 - Junior High (Grades 7 – 9): Gideon - Senior High (Grades 10 – 12): Zion
Our ministry is equipped with amazing, dedicated and Spirit-filled men and women, who volunteer their time within the ministry. Not only do these volunteers help in delivering the undiluted Word of God to the children under a conducive and fun-filled environment; but they also assist the children to identify and develop their God-given gifts and talents.
These talents, often expressed through drama, dance, choreography, singing, playing of various musical instrument, etc; are showcased to the general public twice a year – during our children’s week and Christmas carnival.
