About Our Mentorship Program

Our Mentorship Program is designed to provide valuable guidance and support to new immigrants looking to kick-start their careers in Canada. As a volunteer mentor, you can share your expertise, industry insights, and experiences to empower newcomers to achieve their professional goals.

Requirements

The success of our mentorship program lies in the qualities and skills of our volunteer mentors. We are looking for individuals who possess the following:

Experience and Expertise

HR professionals with practical experience in the Canadian job market and a solid understanding of HR practices and regulations.

Empathy and Understanding

Volunteers who can empathize with the challenges newcomers face during their job search journey and provide encouragement and support.

Effective Communication

Strong communicators who convey ideas and advice clearly, helping newcomers gain confidence in their job search efforts.

Cultural Sensitivity

Volunteers who embrace diversity and respect the unique cultural backgrounds of the newcomers they mentor.

Patience and Dedication

Individuals who are patient, committed, and willing to invest their time and effort to make a positive impact.

How to Join Our Mentorship Program

Apply to Be a Mentor

Complete our mentor application form and share your qualifications and experiences to help us understand how you can contribute to the program.

Mentor Training and Orientation

Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will undergo a mentor training and orientation session to equip you with the necessary skills and resources.

Matching Process

Our team will carefully match you with mentees based on your expertise and their career aspirations.

Mentorship Sessions

Engage in one-on-one mentorship sessions with your mentees, offering guidance, reviewing resumes, conducting mock interviews, and providing career advice.

Program Evaluation and Feedback

We value continuous improvement. We will seek mentor and mentee feedback to enhance our program's effectiveness.
