God is happy to bless us. But much more than the blessings, He desires to have a relationship with us. He wants to dwell in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. When an airplane draws near to its destination, the pilot has one objective: identify the signal for the landing strip. So it is in the spiritual, God cannot descend if He does not find a runway: an open heart where He can land. He needs us to give Him access so He can come in. Jesus said in Rev.3:20 “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him and he with me”.
